The Texas Festival was great. I loved the atmosphere, working with Jim Papoulis, and being with all the other kids from the other choirs. I can’t wait until we go again!

Lynne Gackle, as one of my choristers put it, “is a goddess!” I couldn’t agree more. The level of music making from the downbeat of the first rehearsal through the final cut-off in the Meyerson Hall was dynamic, well thought out, engaging, and enabling for the students to make the very best music possible!

Attending TICF was one of the best experiences I’ve had in TYC. I got to meet so many people from different states that I still communicate with to this day. TICF helped me come out of my shell and be more confident when meeting other people. I’ve actually met some of my closest friends at this festival. I really loved spending time with people from my choir and other choirs too! Working with the conductors every morning at the clinics were the highlight of my day. Everyone got to laugh together and most importantly sing together as a family

TICF has proven to be one of the most beneficial musical experiences in the life of our organization. Making music under Lynne Gackle’s direction, and learning about rhythm from Jim Papoulis made for an indelible experience for our choristers

I have just completed 38 years of Choral Music education. I have taken students all over the country to festivals from California to New York and everything in between. And all my 38 years I have never been to a festival it was more enjoyable, educational, and professional than the Texas international festival. I highly recommend this experience to teachers and students of all ages. The staff under the leadership of Ann Smith, was accommodating to every need and made this trip more enjoyable than any I’ve ever experienced.
